CO Oxidation over Mono and Bi-Metallic Sequentially Impregnated Pd-Pt Catalysts
Kaya, Sarp; Üner, Deniz (2008-01-01)
The CO oxidation capability of sequentially impregnated Pd-Pt/gamma-Al(2)O(3) bimetallic catalysts was tested. The CO oxidation light-off curves were hierarchically spaced between monometallic Pd and monometallic Pt, which showed the highest and lowest activity, respectively, indicating that sequential impregnation did not result in the formation of bimetallic particles, but that the catalysts remained as monometallic entities over the support surface. CO2 hydrogenation to methanol and dimethyl ether at atmospheric pressure using Cu-Ho-Ga/gamma-Al2O3 and Cu-Ho-Ga/ZSM-5: Experimental study and thermodynamic analysis
Tuygun, Cansu; İpek Torun, Bahar (2021-01-01)
CO2 valorization through chemical reactions attracts significant attention due to the mitigation of greenhouse gas effects. This article covers the catalytic hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol and dimethyl ether using Cu-Ho-Ga containing ZSM-5 and gamma-Al2O3 at atmospheric pressure and at temperatures of 210 degrees C and 260 degrees C using a CO2:H-2 feed ratio of 1:3 and 1:9. In addition, the thermodynamic limitations of methanol and DME formation from CO2 was investigated at a temperature range of 100-400...

In this paper we intend to give a broad overview of natural and artificial photosynthesis systems. We point out seven orders of magnitude difference of the rates of water splitting between natural and state of the art artificial photosynthesis in favour of natural photosynthesis. We reviewed the open literature for photocatalytic water splitting, CO2 reduction and suggested routes for improvements in the low yields.
