Exploring hand movement dynamics during the Simon task: a mouse tracking study.
İkizoğlu, Hatice Buke; Çakır, Murat Perit; Department of Cognitive Sciences (2019)
Understanding how the cognitive system processes information in real-time is one of the key concerns for researchers in experimental psychology and cognitive science. Several measures and software tools have been proposed to explore different aspects of cognitive processing phenomena. One of these methods, mouse-tracking, allows researchers to collect data about the dynamic unfolding of motor responses by recording the participants’ mouse movements during cognitive tasks. In the present study, we replicated...
On modelling of microwave heating of a ceramic material
KOZLOV, P. V.; Rafatov, İsmail; KULUMBAEV, E. B.; LELEVKIN, V. M. (2007-05-07)
A simple model is proposed and tested for simulations of ceramic processing by microwave heating. The model is based on a piecewise constant approximation of the material properties and makes it possible to separate and analyse different effects caused by the sample shape and the dependence of the material properties on temperature. Specifically, the simulation results demonstrate that microwave heating of an alumina sample can be very sensitive to a variation of its dielectric constant with temperature. Fo...
Examination of early childhood educators' perspectives on transdiciplinary approach.
Demirci, Fatma; Demircan, Hasibe Özlen; Department of Early Childhood Education (2020)
A research study was conducted to investigate the perspective of early childhood educators on transdisciplinary approach. The participants of study were 20 early childhood educators who worked in public kindergartens Bartın, Turkey. The data was collected with a semi- structured interview. Findings of study demonstrated that early childhood educators have positive perspectives on integration of disciplines. Also, early childhood educators have positive perspectives on transdisciplinary approach such as inte...

Evaluation of response time distributions for controller area network messages
Batur, Ahmet; Schmidt, Şenan Ece; Schmidt, Klaus Verner (2018-07-09)
The response time distribution (RTD) for messages on the controller area network (CAN) represents the probability of experiencing each possible response time. The existing literature suggests to use the RTD for the design of real-time applications based on CAN. This paper shows that the RTD does not capture the response time behavior on CAN well due to gradual clock drifts among CAN nodes. Instead
