This article presents four fragmentary prisms and one tablet of the Rosen Collection recording Sumerian model contracts. Topics include exchange, rental, and sale of real estate, loans, adoption, marriage, and the rescue of a foundling. Two model court cases and three provisions of the “Laws about Rented Oxen” are also recorded in the presented documents.
