Abstract: In June 2004, the US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District (District), prepared the first edition of the General Management Plan (GMP). With contributions from the Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP), which is operated by the Lake Champlain Steering Committee. The GMP was updated in June 2007 and again in June 2017, to reflect the progress to date, update the screening and selection process, reflect the changes in law, and to better serve the public as a guide for the Lake Champlain Watershed Environmental Assistance Program (or also referred to as the Section 542 Program). This document, which supersedes the June 2007 GMP, will serve as the framework for implementing critical restoration projects within the Lake Champlain Watershed, as authorized by Section 542 of the 2000 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA), as amended.
