Summary
  • On "Black Studies Beat" with Professor William E. Nelson Jr., a prerecorded lecture by Reverend Ben Chavis from the National Conference of Black Political Scientists is broadcast. Chavis, political rights activist, gives speech about Black freedom through collective struggle including his experience in and out of the prison system. He states that each generation must fulfill their historic responsibility of utilizing what they have learned. According to Chavis, this can be done through voting, prayer and educating the next generation. Reverend Chavis also discusses "Walking with God".
