Da exploração dos materiais à construção de novos entendimentos sobre o mundo físico

Abstract

O presente relatório enquadra-se no âmbito da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, nos contextos de Creche e Pré- Escolar. O projeto: “Da exploração dos materiais à construção de novos entendimentos sobre o mundo físico”, pretendeu enriquecer o ambiente físico de aprendizagem, de forma tornar o mesmo mais apelativo e convidativo a novas explorações e descobertas. Por outro lado, permitiu às crianças novas formas de exploração, manipulação, observação, experimentação e reflexão acerca dos objetos e dos acontecimentos, estimulando uma atitude crítica face ao mundo que as rodeia. As estratégias pedagógicas em contexto de Creche centraram-se na criação de oportunidades de contacto e exploração de diversos materiais naturais de forma a tornar mais apelativo o ambiente físico de aprendizagem, mais concretamente a área de exploração sensorial, bem como, ampliar a curiosidade das crianças. Em contexto de Pré- Escolar deu-se prioridade ao interesse das crianças pelas ciências, apoiando-as nos tempos de trabalho de forma a proporcionar o contacto com diferentes materiais, novas explorações e descobertas. O desenvolvimento do projeto de intervenção possibilitou responder em tempo real aos interesses das crianças e favoreceu a busca de respostas para as suas interrogações. Em contexto de creche permitiu desenvolver a sua curiosidade e alargar o seu conhecimento sobre o mundo, essencialmente através da manipulação de materiais naturais e do quotidiano das crianças, atribuindo-lhes inúmeras formas de exploração. Em contexto de jardim-de-infância a intervenção ampliou as oportunidades de exploração e descoberta, estimulou o espírito crítico e de reflexão das crianças e complexificou as experiências das crianças.

This report falls within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice, the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education, in the nursery and pre-school contexts. The project "From the exploration of materials to the construction of new understandings about the physical world" was intended to enrich the physical learning environment in order to make it more appealing and inviting to new explorations and discoveries. On the other hand, it allowed children new forms of exploration, manipulation, observation, experimentation and reflection on objects and events, stimulating a critical attitude towards the world around them. The pedagogical strategies in the context of nursery focused on the creation of opportunities for contact and exploitation of various natural materials in order to make the physical learning environment, more specifically the area of sensory exploration, more appealing, as well as extend the curiosity of children. In the context of Pre-School, priority has been given to the interest of children in the sciences, supporting them in working times in order to provide contact with different materials, new explorations and discoveries. The development of the intervention project made it possible to respond in real time to the children's interests and favored the search for answers to their questions. In the context of nursery, it has enabled them to develop their curiosity and expand their knowledge about the world, essentially through the manipulation of natural materials and the daily life of children, attributing to them innumerable forms of exploitation. In the context of kindergarten, the intervention has expanded the opportunities for exploration and discovery, stimulated children's critical thinking and has made the children's experiences more complex.
