State Theater, Clovis, New Mexico, circa 1993. The theater sign lists "The Sword and the Sorcerer" as the current movie playing and "Road Warrior" as the next attraction. Caption reads: "State Theater, Clovis, New Mexico. The State, with its Art Deco glass brick tower and colorful tile trim, opened in 1936 and ended its run late in 1987. Now it is a warehouse, although messages of interest are sometimes displayed on the old marquee." Message reads: "Monday - Off to meet Marilyn for dinner. Tomorrow the dentist. Ugh. But weather is great. Love, Doug." Postmark date: June 15, 1999.
