Title:
Untouchables and Teen Idles concert flier - Blitz, Washington, D.C., September 27, 1980
Date:
Sep 27, 1980
Summary:
A circa 1980s photocopy of a flier for a concert featuring the Washington, D.C. punk bands the Untouchables, Teen Idles, and The Extorts. The concert occurred at Blitz (3237 M. St. NW) in Washington, D.C. on September 27, 1980. Members of all three bands went on to play in notable D.C. punk bands like Minor Threat, The Faith, State of Alert (S.O.A.), and Rites of Spring. The flier was designed by Bert Queiroz of the Untouchables. Sharon Cheslow photocopied the original flier for the concerts while conducting research in the 1980s for the book that she co-authored on the D.C. punk scene, "Banned In D.C." This photocopy cuts off the extreme edge of the original flier and the "7" from "Sat. Sept. 27" was lost.
