Three of Antonia's children survived into adulthood: Germanicus, Livilla, and Claudius. Widowed in 9 BCE, Antonia refused to remarry (Joseph. AJ 18.180; Val.Max. 4.3.3). Praised for her beauty, loyalty, and virtue (Plut.
