Abstract: Students in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program undertake in their third year of the program two semesters of pharmacology. Pharmacy students are required to have a very good knowledge of this subject area, but one area which has been problematic to the students is their understanding of hormonal contraception and oestrogen hormone replacement therapy. Tutorials are conducted in pharmacology, however the large numbers of students attending the tutorials do not allow for attention to individual student questions.
