Abstract: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of water-soluble carbohydrate extracts from the Australian cabbage tree ('Cordyline australis'), Acacia tree ('Acacia pycnantha') and the seaweed Wakame ('Undaria pinnatifida') on growth performance and intestinal microflora of broiler chickens. One-day-old male broiler chickens (Cobb 500) were fed one of eight experimental diets (n, 6, eight birds per replicate) from days 1-42.
