Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyse the contribution of livestock to economic development and employment growth in a set of developing countries. it is confirmed that livestock is an important economic asset for households and communities. however, its macroeconomic contribution is not yet well documented. this working paper is focusing on better understanding the role of livestock under different stages of economic development of countries.
