The present work aims to contribute to the teaching methodology currently used in the subject of operations research I in the industrial engineering program of the University of Ibagué through the design of active learning activities with a playful approach to support the teacher in his work, and that will also allow the student to a greater appropriation of the concepts of the subject. To achieve this purpose, a process of information collection was developed to diagnose the topics of greatest difficulty in the subject. Subsequently, the recreational activities were designed with their respective support material. Then, pilot tests were carried out that allowed, through a questionnaire, to evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of play, and thus determine how play is transformed into a fundamental support to facilitate learning in the classroom.
