Sammanfattning
Aeroseum is an aviation museum located in an old military underground hangar. The ventilation system in the hangar is designed for the military purpose of the hangar. This design includes a solution with air flowing through the space between the construction of the hangar and the rock surface. The solution is intended to avoid a buildup of inflammable gases. This design leads too high humidity levels in the hangar. The investigation presented in this report aims to decide an acceptable humidity level for the hangar construction and the activity it is used for and analyze suggestions for improvement of the ventilation system. During the investigation it became clear that the temperature and humidity data from measurements made during the spring of 2013 was insufficient. High levels of humidity occur during summertime and the lack of data made calculations very theoretical. Therefore this investigation fails to present any reliable solutions to solve the problems. Although improvements with the humidity can be made. If the temperature of air flowing through the void outside the hangar could be lowered the air wouldn’t be able to carry the same amount of moisture in to the hangar. If the air intake is moved to the surface, the heat from the outside air could be utilized during periods of the year and a decrease of heating costs could be possible. These examples should be investigated further. Based on the findings in this report the only suggestion to create an acceptable indoor climate is to rebuild the entire ventilation system.
