Abstract: This work analyzed together with residents of the Ivoturucaia neighborhood, Jundiaí/SP, Brazil, the interdependence relationships of identities, cultures and memories with the territory they occupy and its intersectionality demonstrated as a new sample space, through: a) Identification in the collected interviews of the concepts of culture, memory and identity at the national, regional and local levels; b) Description of the interdependence of the concepts of culture, memory and identity at the local level; c) Explanation, through discussion of the theoretical framework and interviews collected, of the role of the territory as a new historiographical and geographic sampling space. Starting from the hypothesis that, first: when discussing and presenting the relationships between the concepts of identity, culture and memory and relating them to the collected interviews, it will be possible to build a theoretical framework capable of sustaining a new understanding of the terms and their singularities; second: to demonstrate, based on interdependence relationships, the need to know one's own history and thus have the appropriate bases for learning (formal and not formal) that enables structural changes, is emancipatory and capable of being replicated in other locations. This is a work resulting from a collective process in the construction of representative knowledge of different groups that form a community, being the main tool in education and knowledge of oneself, for this purpose, the following occurred: i) interviews with residents of the neighborhood (Oral history) ; ii) collection of documents in their various aspects, diaries, photos, maps, certificates, letters, objects, among others; iii) research in newspapers, periodicals and magazines; iv) discourse analysis (semantics, ideology and context) and v) discussion with the theoretical framework: Marc Augé, Simone Weil, Eduard Tylor, Jürgen Habermas, Ecléa Bosi, Milton Santos, Johann Gottfried von Herder, Walter Benjamin, Ulpiano Meneses, Laurajane Smith, André Argollo, Lucien Febvre, Marc Bloch, José Carlos Meihy, Werner Heisenberg, John Venn, among others. This research is expected to deepen the understanding – of the local population – of how the territory affects and is affected through identity manifestations, multicultural processes, memories created and reconstructed, their interdependencies and the intersectionality that causes the new reality generated by agents of the process
