Abstract :
[en] This paper aims to undertake a study on how Han Song tackles technology in his science fiction. Han Song tendsto imagine the worst and to fear that technology might fall into the wrong hands. Indeed, in Han Song's writing, technology is often misused by humans, whether they are members of the ruling elites or ordinary people, and is thus often described in a bad light. Besides, Han Song likes to distort the technologies that are elevated by the government to be the symbols of modernity, as were the subway and the high-speed train, or even the hospital was during epidemics like SARS when the government claimed that China's medical facilities were world class and able to respond to such a crisis as well as any other developed countries, if not better. In this paper, we will therefore shed light on the depiction of technology by Han Song in several of his works (such as 'Security Checks', Subway or Hospital), in order to showcase its particularities.
