Abstract

A correction method to calculate T1 and T2 relaxation times from inversion prepared (IR) balanced SSFP is proposed. The method is based on an analytical description of the initial or transient phase of IR-prepared balanced SSFP, which is a function of T1, T2, TR, and flip angle α.
