Abstract	本稿では紀伊藩の伊勢御鷹場を事例として、鷹狩をめぐるツルと人の関わりに着目し、江戸時代の鷹場管理がもたらしたツルの「保護」とその方法、およびツルヘの影響を明らかにすることを目的とした。分析にあたっては、生物としてのツルの実態に基づいて検討を行った。伊勢御鷹場には、ツルの飼い馴らしや餌付けなどを行う綱差や鶴飼付役が配置され、鷹場ではイヌやネコの管理の徹底や、周辺地域をも含めた銃砲規制などが行われた。...これらの措置は、ツルの生態や行動からみても適切であり、ツルを「保護」し、渡来や定着を維持する方法として効果的であったと評価できる。一方で、江戸時代のツルの「保護」はツルの人馴れを引き起こし、さらには、ツルによる農作物被害など人との軋礫を助長させた可能性がある。鷹狩をはじめとする江戸時代の武家社会におけるツルの重要性を背最として、江戸時代のツルと人の間には特異な関係性が構築されていた。 This paper focuses on the relationship between cranes and human society to falconry, using Ise falconry grounds in Kii Domain as a case study, and aims to clarify the protection of cranes brought about by falconry grounds management in the Edo period, its methods, and its impact on cranes. The analysis was based on the actual state of the cranes from a living creature's perspective. "Tsuna-Sashi" and "Tsuru-Kaitsuke-Yaku" were assigned in the Ise falconry grounds to tame and feed the cranes and thorough control of dogs and cats was carried out in the falconry grounds, as well as restrictions on firearms that included the surrounding areas. These efforts were appropriate in terms of the ecology and behavior of the cranes and can be evaluated as effective in protecting them and maintaining their migration and establishment. On the other hand, the protection of cranes during the Edo period may have caused them to become accustomed to people and may have contributed to conflicts with people due to them causing damage to crops and so on. In the context of the importance of cranes in the times of the samurai during the Edo period, including falconry, a unique relationship was established between cranes and human society back then.show more
