The thesis gives a short overview of the current anti epileptic drugs used but mainly focuses on the most recent discoveries within the treatment of epilepsy. Additionally, the thesis gives an insight of what the future has in store for patients suffering from the disease as well as new technologies that could possibly be applied for improving the treatment.
