This thesis aims to explore the many aspects and concepts of Death and how they are represented in Hungarian Cinema. It provides a brief overview of traditional and modern concepts and definitions of Death, following up by a more philosophical and psychological approach. Hungarian Cinema then approached from a geographical and economical point of view. The paper closely looks at films like Taxidermia (2006), The Investigator (2008) and Strangled (2016) to analyze how the estabilished concepts of Death are represented in terms of character developement as well as how they are visually portrayed.
