Abstract
El trabajo que aquí se expone se estructura en tres partes relacionadas. Tras una breve introducción en la que se plantea la necesidad por parte de la geografía de desarrollar más estudios acerca del vínculo cine – espacio geográfico, en la primera parte se realiza una llamada de atención acerca de la importancia del cine como instrumento de intermediación entre el espectador y un espacio que en numerosas ocasiones desconoce por su propia experiencia. Pero la vinculación del ciudadano con el cine no es reciente; se trata de un proceso largo cuyos antecedentes más cercanos se sitúan en el siglo XIX cuando la fotografía y las primeras filmaciones, amplían de una manera significativa el imaginario espacial del ciudadano europeo y norteamericano. Una vez considerados estos antecedentes, la segunda parte, aborda el tratamiento del espacio en la teoría cinematográfica. Nos detendremos en la construcción del espacio fílmico a través del montaje y mostraremos con diversos ejemplos sus características. Sin embargo, las teorías y consideraciones acerca del espacio en el cine no resultan suficientes para disponer de un cuerpo conceptual que nos permita desentrañar de qué manera se muestra el paisaje en las películas de ficción. La tercera parte de este trabajo intenta arrojar alguna luz al respecto mediante la recopilación de teorías avanzadas desde distintas disciplinas así como mediante el análisis inductivo de aquellos factores que intervienen en una apreciación del paisaje por parte del espectador.
The work presented here is divided into three related parts. In the introduction the author outlines the need to develop more studies about the link between movies - geographical space because of the importance of cinema as an instrument of mediation between the viewer and a space that in many cases is unknown by his own experience. But the relationship between citizens and the cinema is not new, it is a long process that begins in the nineteenth century when photography and the first films, extended in a meaningful way the imaginary space of European and American citizen. After considering this background, the second part addresses the treatment of space in film theory. Special attention is given to construction of filmic space through the editing and its characteristics are shown with several examples. However, theories and considerations of space in the cinema are not sufficient to have a body that allows conceptual discover how the landscape is shown in fiction films. The third part of this work is progressing on this topic with the help of theories developed from different disciplines and through the inductive analysis of the factors involved in an appreciation of the landscape for the viewer.
