In this dissertation, wireless transmission schemes based on user cached information are studied. To improve the transmission efficiency in wireless communication system, the user memory can be utilized as an additional wireless communication resource. Using the user memory, caching data to an edge node or end user in advance can reduce network traffic significantly. Unlike the unicast method, which handles requests from users separately, the transmitter can use coding techniques such as index coding to deal the requests from multiple users in a single transmission (multicast). The gains of the user caching are studied in the linear deterministic channel model, multiple parallel shared links model, and the general interference network with memory, respectively. For each system model, the transmission scheme is proposed based on the user cached information to reduce transmission time. According to the memory size and cached information, the performance of transmission time by the proposed scheme is derived. It is shown that the proposed transmission scheme using user cached information has better performance than conventional schemes.
