Implementation of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

Bullying has become a very serious and widespread problem that can happen to anyone on or off campus. The name calling, the tripping, the shoving, the extortion and the threat of bodily harm have been around for centuries. Even though it has been around for generations, the bullying should not be a phase that students on or off campus must go through in their student or adult life. Schools across America should not dismiss bullying as horse play, kidding around, boys will be boys, or he or she will grow out it. Bullying is not a phase in a person's life; bullying can have serious and lasting consequences for victims. The purpose of this study is to plan and implement effectively the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program at Pontiac Intermediate School. The study will examine the recommendations and goals from the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program.
