A importância da participação dos Pais/Encarregados de Educação na vida escolar

Abstract

RESUMO A base de estruturação e construção desta dissertação desenvolve-se no âmbito da problemática da participação da família no ambiente escolar, apontando-se esta como uma mais-valia para o desempenho académico das crianças. Procuramos salientar a relação escola/família e a influência que exerce sobre a motivação dos educandos, beneficiando ou prejudicando a sua aprendizagem, e, consequentemente, o impacto que tem sobre cada um dos actores educativos aqui implicados. Revelam-se os obstáculos que influenciam negativamente a participação parental na escola e os que impedem a instituição escolar de estar mais receptiva ao envolvimento dos pais/encarregados de educação. Enunciam-se benefícios desta cooperação a fim de mostrar que todos os actores educativos envolvidos usufruem destes se partilharem responsabilidades na educação dos educandos. Nos dias de hoje, a relação escola/família ainda não está muito dinamizada nas vidas de ambas as instituições, tornando-se numa relação complexa e sinónimo de confusão, discussão e desacordo. Assim, como propósito máximo desta dissertação, tentamos inquirir os pais/encarregados de educação para melhor compreender o que pensam da participação no ambiente escolar e da sua própria contribuição nesta relação, e sensibilizar os docentes para tornar a escola num espaço preparado, sensível e receptivo ao envolvimento parental, modificando esta ligação repleta de tensões e discórdia, numa colaboração saudável, coerente, de aceitação mútua, de partilha de responsabilidades, a fim desta participação se tornar num excelente contributo para a óptima aprendizagem dos educandos.

ABSTRACT The base structure and construction of this thesis is developed in the scope of the problematic participation of the family in pertaining to school environment, pointing this as one more value with respect to the academic performance of the children. We seek to point out the relationship between school/family and to the influence that exerts on the motivation of the students, benefiting or harming their learning and, consequentially, the impact that it has on each one of he educative actors here implied. Shown, are obstacles that negatively influence the parental participation in the school and the ones that avoid pertaining to school institution to be more receptive to the involvement of the parents. Benefits of this cooperation are enunciated in order to show that all the educative actors usufruct of these as if to share responsibilities in the education of the students. Nowadays the relation school/family is not yet very advanced in the lives of both the institutions, becoming a complex relationship and synonym of confusion, quarrel and disagreement. Thus, as maximum intention of this thesis, we try to inquire the parents to better understand what they thing of the participation, about the pertaining to school environment and its proper contribution, about this relation, and to sensitize the professors to change the school into a prepared space, sensible and receptive to the parental involvement, modifying this link which is replete of tension and discord, in a healthful, coherent contribution , of mutual acceptance, sharing of responsibilities, in order to this participation to become an excellent contribution for the proper teaching of the students.
