A expressão plástica como lugar de aprendizagens na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1º Ciclo do Ensino Básico

Abstract

O presente Relatório de Estágio tem como título A Expressão Plástica como Lugar de Aprendizagens na Educação Pré-Escolar e no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e surge no âmbito do trabalho desenvolvido nas unidades curriculares de Estágio Pedagógico I e Estágio Pedagógico II, integradas no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, da Universidade dos Açores. Este documento apresentará todo o trabalho desenvolvido no domínio dos dois estágios pedagógicos, sendo o primeiro estágio realizado na Educação Pré-escolar e o segundo no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Integrará uma análise detalhada e uma reflexão global sobre os momentos experienciados no decorrer destes dois estágios, evidenciando os aspetos que considerámos de maior relevância do ponto de vista científico e formativo, que deram realce à temática que decidimos aprofundar no nosso estudo. A decisão de aprofundarmos tal temática teve como fundamento o nosso entendimento de que a Expressão Plástica se reveste de enormes potencialidades, quer do ponto de vista pedagógico e didático, quer no que respeita às competências que desenvolveria nos alunos que nos seriam confiados. Tínhamos ainda a crença de que esta área nem sempre é entendida e valorizada pelos profissionais de ensino, contexto que também nos interessava aprofundar e contrariar. Para concretizar tais propósitos, baseámo-nos nas atividades desenvolvidas nos dois Estágios Pedagógicos, que foram convenientemente analisadas e refletidas. Socorremo-nos ainda de autores da especialidade para fundamentar as nossas reflexões. Para enriquecer o nosso trabalho, realizámos vinte entrevistas, dez a Educadores de Infância e dez a Professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, com o objetivo de conhecermos as suas representações e opiniões acerca da temática em estudo. Concluímos que a esta área de expressão é valorizada, tanto pelos Educadores de Infância como pelos Professores do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. No entanto, é na Educação Pré-Escolar que a sua exploração é mais visível, pois no 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, com o avançar nos anos de escolaridade, esta vai sendo cada vez mais constrangida, quer por carências de formação, pela falta de material e de tempo, quer pela extensão dos programas curriculares que tendem a valorizar outras áreas curriculares, como o Português e a Matemática, em detrimento das áreas expressivas.

ABSTRACT: The present Stage Report is entitled Plastic Expression as a Place of Learning in Pre-School Education and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and arises within the framework that was developed in the curricular units of Pedagogical Stage I and Pedagogical Stage II, integrated in the Master's Degree in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, University of the Azores. This document includes all the work developed in the field of the two pedagogic stages, being the first stage realized in Pre-school Education and the second in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. It integrates a detailed analysis and a global reflection on the moments experienced during these two stages, evidencing the aspects that we have considered of greater relevance from the scientific and formative point of view that gave emphasis to the theme that we decided to deepen in our study. The decision to explore this theme was based on our understanding that Plastic Expression has enormous potentialities, from a pedagogical and from a didactic point of view, and in terms of the skills; it would develop in the students who would be entrusted to us. We also had the belief that this area is not always understood or valued by teaching professionals, a context that we also wanted to analyze and counteract. In order to fulfil these purposes, we were based on the activities developed in the two Pedagogical Stages, which were conveniently analyzed and reflected. We still rely on authors of the specialty to base in our reflections. To enrich our work, we conducted twenty interviews, ten to Childhood Educators and ten to Teachers of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, in order to know their representations and opinions about the subject under study. We conclude that this area of expression is valued by both, the Childhood Educators and the Teachers of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. However, it is in the pre-school education that its exploration is more visible; because, in the 1st cycle of Basic Education, with the advancement of the years of schooling, this is becoming more and more constrained, due to the lack of training and the lack of material and time or by the extension of curricular programs that tend to value other curricular areas, such as Portuguese and Mathematics, in the detriment of the expressive areas.
