Abstract
En este artículo examinaremos la relación que existe entre la conservación del patrimonio y el turismo cultural a través del análisis de la ciudad de Puebla, como ciudad Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad declarada por la UNESCO en 1987 y el Programa Pueblos Mágicos, creados en 2001, del que forman parte nueve pueblos del Estado de Puebla.
La intención es determinar si es posible la coexistencia de ambas concepciones, sobre todo a raíz de la aparición de una nueva noción de turismo en México, es decir, el turismo cultural. Eso a través del análisis de estrategias establecidas por el gobierno para proteger el patrimonio cultural y la promoción de la ciudad patrimonio y los pueblos mágicos.
In this article we will examine the relationship between heritage conservation and cultural tourism through the analysis of the city of Puebla as World Cultural Heritage site declared by UNESCO in 1987 and the Magic Towns Program created in 2001, of which nine towns are part of the State of Puebla. The intention is to determine if it is possible the coexistence of both conceptions, especially as a result of the emergence of a new notion of tourism in Mexico, that is, cultural tourism. That through analysis of strategies established by government to protect the cultural heritage and the promotion of heritage city and magic villages.
