Resumo
O presente artigo destaca a Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus no Brasil, suas principais características teológicas e doutrinárias, possíveis rupturas e continuidades. As características foram apresentadas e analisadas de forma comparativa, passado e presente, sem a pretensão de esgotar a temática, tendo em vista ser, este artigo, parte de trabalho maior de pesquisa sobre a história dessa igreja no Brasil e em Portugal. A perspectiva principal foi pensar a IURD com base nos seus sincretismos e pragmatismo geradores da mensagem proselitista divulgada nos seus templos e nos meios de comunicação: rádio, televisão e material impresso (jornais, revistas e livros).
This article highlights the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in Brazil, its main theological and doctrinal characteristics, possible ruptures and continuities. The features were presented and analysed in a comparative way, past and present, without the pretension of exhausting the subject, in order to be, this article, part of larger work of research on the history of this church in Brazil and in Portugal. The main perspective was thinking the UCKG based on their sincretismos and pragmatism proselytizing message generators disclosed in their temples and in the media: radio, television and printed matter (newspapers, magazines and books).
