En la primera parte el artículo estudia la polivalencia del grafema X en latín y español, haciendo ver las faltas de ortografía que genera su ambigüedad. En la segunda se anotan las distintas formas de escribir el grafema X en las inscripciones de Hispania, atendiendo a la posible realidad fonética que las encubre In the first part this paper studies the polyvalence of the grapheme X in Latin and Spanish, and shows the spelling mistakes. In the second part shows the different ways of writing the grapheme X in the inscriptions of Hispania, in response to the possible phonetic reality that conceals them
