Abstract: | This research study aimed to examine key factors and variables which are newlineinfluencing Electronic commerce adoption in Medium Enterprises and their interactive newlineassociation in Indian context. A research model was developed from Electronic newlinecommerce adoption literature. Data was collected from face-to-face and self-completed questionnaire survey. Data was analysed with help of SPSS and SmartPLS software. Key research findings are as follows In automobile sector s medium enterprises ; Perceived Benefits, Complexity,Technology Readiness, Organizational Readiness and Organizational IT Competence; Trading partner pressure, Competitive pressure, Manager s IS Knowledge and Manager s Innovativeness were determinant factors for E-commerce adoption. Top five barriers for newlineadoption of e-commerce in automobile sector s medium enterprises were lack of secure payment infrastructures, lack of support from government, Employees lack the required skills, lack of awareness of e-commerce benefits and lack of Internet security. Top five reasons for adoption of e-commerce in automobile sector s medium enterprises were Pressure from Suppliers and customers, to expand and grow, to compete with existing competitors, Speed-up/Improved business/administrative process, to reduce distribution and marketing cost, to improve customer service/experience and to find new customers. |
