Enhancing security in compressed data communication

Abstract

Vital features of todayand#8223;s multimedia systems are large informationstorage besides high data rate transmission. Security of data transmittedthrough the internet has put a several challenges. Reliability issues regardingdata transmission such as confidentiality, data security along with data lossare becoming serious concerns. To overcome these issue, two techniques areunited i.e., encryption and compression, which provides a robust spine for itssecurity besides reduces extra overhead. Data Compression (DC) caneffectively tackle these demands.In this thesis, proposed a referential compression technique forgenome data in which all re-sequenced genomes are considered among thesame species, the resulting sequences reveal extremely great levels ofresemblance. The key plan of this system is to encode sequences respectingan external reference sequences. The scope of the proposed referentialcompression scheme is to paradigm an encoding and also a decoding schemethat diminishes the length of the representation. Besides, the proposedarrangement attains high compression degrees by long matches in thereference.
