The digital age has brought with it a phenomenon that is having a remarkable impact both in society as well as the network. It is know as the phenomenon influencer, a new concept that has given rise to a period of changes in the marketing of communication. Brands have had to innovate and modify their communicative and advertising strategies making use of these professionals in order to improve the communication within companies. In this manner, one of the major changes carried out has been fo find influential people who have become a means of communication and, in addition, they are able to gain credibility and build confidence in a target audience. The boom of social networks has allowed that any non-specialized user to have access to the network and can spread or share any kind of content that is being treated on the net. Given this reality, the present work carries out an investigation that links the term influencer, the social networks and the web 2.0, through an analytical study, that is to say, through a series of surveys and interviews to professionals in the Comunidad Valenciana related to the marketing of influencers. The main objective of this research is to know the impact that the Valencian influencers have on the university students of Valencia who are users of Instagram and Facebook. As well as identifying the methods of union between the phenomenon and the brands and inquire into the origin of the term and its current situation.
