Resumen
In the 1930s, in Colombia, an advanced magazine for its time, incorporates children as one of its main audiences "Chanchito Magazine." Its format is part of a new position called magazine illustrated with a textual body that contained varied literary sections, entertainment, and general culture. In this research work we analyze the characteristics that were consigned in literature in this magazine during the years 1933 and 1934; for this, a presentation of the journal is made, the context of the edition is defined and finally the literary perspective found in the contents is identified. It highlights the influence of Russian formalism, in the literary vision of the time, which extolled the delimitation of literature itself, highlighting the importance of words as autonomous elements. The Chanchito Magazine allowed to know some aspects of the history; learn theory about literature; analyze contexts and develop a greater proportion of a general culture. The Chanchito project was an invitation to reflect on the influence of literature, which drew the reader from the usual, fostered fantasy and imagination, and offered realities without experimenting, awakening familiarity and readiness to use language. The literary record in the magazine was represented in stories, comics with images, poetry, theater, novels, texts derived from folklore and oral tradition (rhymes, riddles, myths and legends), historical narratives.
