Desarrollo de un prototipo de aplicativo móvil para Bibliotecas “Bibliotecapp”

Abstract

With the vertiginous development that information and communication technologies have had in the last two decades, the library has lost its status as the main reference for obtaining knowledge within the university community. To counteract this, the development of a mobile application prototype has been proposed to bring the library closer to its real and potential users, thus benefiting the university community and the library itself. To achieve this purpose, a study was carried out to determine the main informational needs of the university community that can be met through mobile platforms, and how they are related to the services offered by the university library. After that, the functional and technical requirements required to achieve the functionalities that were established as priorities were established based on the inquiry developed among the users of the university library, with which the following steps were oriented. Through the technical and functional requirements, the definition of the components of the mobile application for university libraries was achieved, with which it was possible to continue with the simulation of a prototype of the application. Finally, a prototype of the mobile application for university libraries was simulated, through which the mobile application interface is presented and with which you can carry out the necessary tests to start the implementation of this application in a pilot plan in the university library
