Resumen
This project was analyzed at Tunjuelito’s neighborhood in Bogota-Colombia; where the relationship between the Environmental Quality Index (in Spanish ICA) and Unsatisfied Basic Needs (in Spanish NBI). First of all, ICA is an index that indicates the current status or environmental trends from a place or a special territory, while NBI is an index that looks for social and economic indicators that define poverty in a specific place. The main objective of this project was to find the relationship between the ICA and NBI, using a method of territorial intelligence that is called “Catalyse”, this method was the basis for the generation of proposals aimed at the development of the town and generated by the direct relationship between places and individuals. It is known that in the last decade at Tunjuelito’s neighborhood, the population and environmental conditions have been substantially affected due to the natural phenomena and human-generated activities, those factors make the need to create a scientific basis for decision-making. Within the fieldwork of the town, both needs and strengths were evident and the needs for taking care of the town and available for development are shown.
