Monitoreo de variables ambientales y de control de ingreso al rack ubicado en un cuarto técnico de telecomunicaciones de la Red de Datos UDNET de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas

Abstract

Due to various problems with environmental variables and the control of entry of unauthorized personnel in the telecommunications rooms at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, a project is proposed with the objective of monitoring both the humidity and temperature variables, as well as the entrance to the technical room. Therefore, the process will be shown to carry out the design and implementation of a device capable of monitoring access to the rack, temperature and humidity in real time within the site, in order to have environmental conditions similar to the ANSI/TIA 569-E-1 standard. Various sensors connected to a microcontroller that has IOT technology will be used, in order to observe the behavior of these variables remotely and thus prevent failures of active elements (Switches, Cores, UPS) of a Rack. The approximate duration of the project is approximately 16 weeks where measurements, tests, design and investigations will be carried out. The total cost of the project including labor, time, equipment and others will be $11,080,000.
