Abstract

During the management of residue, it usually results in different types of pests, which can cause contamination of the materials through their excretion. These in turn, are vectors of serious diseases, which leads us to create plans and control programs, that allow us To take preventive measures and minimize the presence of these animals. An initial diagnosis was made in the facilities of the company SINRESIDUOS S.A., to identify the risk factors that influence the presence of rodents. Due to the physical composition of the materials that are stored in the company's warehouse, they are an ideal environment for the proliferation of this type of pest.

Cleaning and cleansing campaigns were carried out in company of the staff of SINRESIDUOS S.A. To prevent the presence of rodents in the facilities of the company. Training, emphasized in the separation of residue in the source and order and cleanliness, was given to the staff. A schedule was established for the service of cleaning and cleansing, and the doors were reinforced to avoid giving the rodents access. The importance of counting on a service of a company specialized in pest control and fumigation was stressed.
