Sertanejas conectadas: autonomia e escrita de si de mulheres do Sertão do Piauí no Facebook

Abstract

This research has the objective of understand and analyse the exposition and the accounts elaborated by sertão women from Piauí at the social network Facebook, identifying possible articulations between the verbal-imagery enunciation process and the construction of an autonomous becoming. More specifically, the self-writings of women living at the surroundings of Guaribas, a southwest town of the state of Piauí, were analysed, and data and interviews has being collected in three field visits (2014, 2015, and 2017). To understand the space of speech of these women, the recent arrival of many concurrent means of communication and how this impact them. It is imperative to name the gender inequalities they describe and observe during the research process, the singularities of daily life and of the writing in a network as the Facebook. We based on the methods of netnography (KOZINETS, 2002; 2010), and on the grounded theory (ALLAN, 2003), parting from research tools like semi-structured interviews, observations and the making of a field journal. Methodologically inspired by the affections turnover (MORICEAU; MENDONÇA, 2016), this investigation starts from sensations, reactions, affectations, impressions and alterations that we experience (MORICEAU; MENDONÇA, 2016), but also from intersectional (CRENSHAW, 2002; COLLINS, 2017; DAVIS, 2015) and techno-discursive (PAVEAU, 2015) perspectives. We propose an alternate conceptualization of autonomy, from a relation among capacities, choices, possibilities and abilities, but that also encompasses affections, the resignification of vulnerabilities and acknowledgement of the sertão women from Guaribas place of speech; speeches and writings marked by intertwined power relations. The sertão women observed in this research deal with oppressions that go beyond gender issues and that are also related, among other elements, with socially construed beauty standards that does not meet her biotype, ethnic characteristics, or with patriarchal originated issues that affect women from different classes. In addition, aspects on how the countryside geographical context and geopolitically remoteness, the strength of the Christian religions influence, and the making of the motherhood became aspects as important as class and race to understand que gender issues in Sertão. The political dimension of these womens appearance reinvent itself over the appropriations, the creativity that may pervade the feeling of being inventive agents of the outline of their being-in-the-world, when they produce a new look, a framing and a narrative about themselves.
