Abstract

This report reviews some of the various risk assessment tools and methods currently being used in relation to spousal assault or domestic assault, particularly in the context of repeated incidents. It reviews the actuarial approach used to predict recidivism in intimate partner violence. It also looks at the effectiveness of screening for serious risk factors predicting future violence using Maryland’s lethality assessment program. (CVRL Abstract)
