Abstract
Tarihin en eski devirlerinden bu yana, çeşitli kıyafetler giyen insanoğlu, bu kıyafetleri zaman içerisinde geliştirmiştir. Bu dokuma ürünleri, insanın yalnızca giydiği bir nesne değil, aynı zamanda o kimsenin duygularını, beden dilini ve toplumdaki yerini yansıtan birer araç rolündedirler. Hititçe çivi yazılı belgelerde sıkça rastladığımız bu dokuma ürünleri, birçok farklı metinde, farklı kullanım şekilleriyle Hitit dünyasındaki yerini almıştır. Bazen giyilen, bazen kıyafet, ip ve yün olarak büyücü kadın tarafından kullanılan, bazen "asılan", "uzatılan", "serilen", bazen tanrılara ve diğer ülkelere birer hediye olarak sunulan bu dokuma ürünleri, belgelerde renkli ve süslemeli olarak da karşımıza çıkmıştır. Çalışmamızda Hititçe çivi yazılı belgeler üzerinden bir değerlendirme yapılmış olup, Hitit siyasi, hukuki, idari, ekonomik ve dini hayatında dokumanın yeri ve önemi anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Tezimizin birinci bölümünde dokuma ürünleri ile ilgili kelimeler hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Yine bu bölümde, erkekler ve kadınlar tarafından kullanılan giysilerden söz edilmiştir. Tezimizin ikinci bölümünde, Hitit siyasi hayatında dokumanın yeri ve önemi açıklanmıştır. Bu kapsamda siyasi belgelerde geçen dokuma ürünlerinden, kral, kraliçe, veliaht prens ve diğer devlet görevlileri tarafından kullanılan kıyafetlerden ve ülkelerarası ilişkilerde dokumanın öneminden söz edilmiştir. Tezimizin üçüncü bölümünde, dokumanın ekonomik ve ticari hayattaki yeri ve rolünden bahsedilmiştir. Yine bu bölümde kumaş, yün ve keten kullanımı, Hitit dünyasında dokumacıların rolleri ve dokuma araçları olarak ifade ettiğimiz kirman ve örekeden söz edilmiştir. Tezimizin son bölümünde ise, dini ve mitolojik belgelerdeki dokuma ürünleri hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu bölümde ritüel, temizlik, bayram, fal, büyü, kehanet ve rüya gibi konular incelenmiş ve çeşitli örneklerle dokuma ürünlerinin bu metinlerde nasıl kullanıldıkları hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Since the earliest ages in history, the humankind who wore various clothes developed these clothes in the long run. These weaving products are not only an object is worn by humankind, but also a tool that reflects the feelings of that person in body language and it shows their place in society. These weaving products which we frequently encounter in Hittite written documents, have taken their place in the Hittite world with different uses in many different texts. These weaving products which are sometimes worn, sometimes used by witch women as clothes, ropes and wool, sometimes "hanged", "extended", "laid", and sometimes presented as gifts to the Gods and other countries, are also presented in the documents as colorful and decorated. In our studies, an evaluation has been made on the documents written in Hittite cuneiform and the place of weaving and the importance of weaving in Hittite political, legal, administrative, economic and religious life has been tried to be explained. In the first part of our thesis, information about the words related to weaving is given. Again in this section, we talk about the clothes used by men and women. In the second part of our thesis, the place of weaving and the importance of weaving in Hittite political life is explained again. In this context, it is mentioned that the clothes used by the king, queen, crown prince and other government officials and the importance of weaving in international relations. In the third part of our thesis, the importance of weaving and the role of the weaving are mentioned in economic and commercial life. Again in this section, the use of fabric, wool and linen, the roles of weavers in the Hittite world and the spindle and spinner we refer to as weaving tools are mentioned. In the last part of our thesis, information which is given about weaving products in religious and mythological documents. In this section, topics such as ritual, cleaning, feast, fortune telling, magic, prophecy and dream are examined and information is given that how to use woven products with various examples in these texts.
