Abstract:
Automation systems are composed of tightly integrated mechanical, electronic, and computer equipment being designed to reduce or even eliminate the need for human intervention in the realization of many different tasks. Also, the automation of systems and processes is often characterized by some interesting features, such as reduced exploration costs and intrinsically higher efficiency, safety, and quality. The papers in this special focus on the use of automation in communication systems.
