Abstract:

The overall objective of the company Reeltech is to invent a brand-new lighting-lift product line for weights from 80 kg to 600 kg and a maximum lowering distance of 30 meters. Compared to already existing lighting-lift types the time of usage should be increased. The aim of this paper is to find a new and innovative concept realized in a prototype. The concept finding process is based on the damage analysis of already existing products, which enables the identification of causes of failure so that they can be avoided in the new design. The theoretical part of this paper covers the description of the methodical procedure in product development. This procedure is shown in the practical part with the invention of the new lighting-lifts. The precise definition of the requirements allows the elaboration of various concepts and the selection of the most suitable one. After the conceptual design, evaluation and selection all parts of the new lighting-lift prototype are constructed as a 3D-CAD model. The assembling of all components results in a realistic virtual model of the component test stand. After finishing the detail design, the manufacturing process has started and the prototype was assembled. With the test stand of the new lighting-lift, the timely discard of fiber ropes or other tests of all functions can be set up. The final task of this paper is to find concepts for the future realization of the serial production. Therefore, the last chapter offers solutions to problems that have occurred during the test and furthermore elaborates a possibility to realize a die-cast housing.
