The Roxbury Community School (RCS) came out of Freedom Schools created for Freedom Stay-Out Days in the mid 1960s. RCS was created in 1966 in order to provide poor students with a free, independent alternative to public school. This pamphlet explains the educational philosophy and services for RCS.
