Plaque for the African-American Institute displayed on an easel at the dedication ceremony. The plaque reads: "John D. O'Bryant African-American Institute. Dedicated to the Memory of John D. O'Bryant, Vice President for Student Affairs from 1979 to 1992. In grateful recognition of his unwavering commitment to students, his unfaltering dedication to social and racial justice, and his unfailing belief in the dignity and worth of all people. Northeastern University. May 1, 1993."
