Limina, Valentina
[UCL]
The paper deals with northern Tuscia between 300-600 C.E. focusing on the case study of Volterra. The aim is to demonstrate that through the application of the resilience and antifragile theories and the integration of archaeological, topography, literary, epigraphic, and prosopography data with those relating to the varying climate and landscapes, it is possible to prompt new interpretations about the peculiarities of the urban response of northern Tuscia to the economic and settlement crisis affecting several centres of the southern district, and the whole Italian peninsula, during Late Antiquity.
