Abstract: The construction of the He-heated steam generators for HTR is investigated concerning layout-technological, stress, and quality insuring point of views. Built and designed steam generators are analysed related to the actual requirements. Stability considerations of a perforated plate of a heat-exchanger are carried out under inclusion of the thermodynamical connection to the liner. Suggestions for experiments for the proof of the calculations with finite elements are discussed. Based upon a thermodynamical layout for the projects Nuclear Process Heat and Prototype Nuclear Coal Gasification steam generator concepts are presented. Fundamental investigations for the technology of inservice inspections are carried out. Especially for helical coil steam generator tubes the problems of inspection are shown.
