Resumen

Epidemiology is the discipline that studies the distribution, frequency, determinants, relationships, prediction and control of factors related to health and disease in human populations. The aim of this study was to conduct epidemiological analysis of data collected in a Computerized Model HC designed for patients treated endodontically. We performed a retrospective study in patients treated linear during 2009-2010 in the specialty of endodontics. Loading data from 328 patients. Last variables were analyzed, address, age, sex, study stays, Socio-economic Pathology; affected tooth. For statistical analysis we used the test of proportions for paired data. Processing was performed georeferenced data. In the gender variable was 62.9% female. With respect to age 34.8% were between 21 and 40. The most affected tooth was 46. The most frequent pathology (33.4%) corresponded to gangrene. 31.8% live in the southwest of the city. In conclusion one might think that there is a population of young women at risk for dental referrals premature loss of teeth and should establish policies to preserve dental health and make you reach age of older adults with better quality of life.
