The appointment of Tina Joemat Pettersson as agriculture minister has been widely welcomed. Prof Johann Kirsten gazes into the crystal ball for her, and explains what the next decade holds for farming. He suggests elements the agricultural policy needs to cover to ensure a smooth ride.
