| 抄録: | The year 2019 marks the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the periodic system by Dmitri I. Mendeleev. It has been proclaimed the "International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements (IYPT2019)" by the United Nations General Assembly and UNESCO. This article introduces a two-day event (Sep. 7 and 8, 2019) held at Kyoto University as a part of the traveling exhibitions of IYPT2019 across Japan. In addition to the exhibition on the history of the periodic tables and on the forefront science and technology involving elements, the Kyoto event featured public lectures, workshops to make a variety of periodic-table items, as well as a certificate examination on chemical elements. |
