Description
From 1940-50, new insecticides were created from organic compounds. The various types of new insecticides are presented and discussed in this article: the chlorinated hydrocarbons, which included DDT, DDD (TDE), methoxychlor, benzene hexachloride, chloridane, toxaphene, aldrin; the the organic phosphates, which were TEPP and HETP; and, the Piperonyls, which were piperonyl cyclonene and piperonyl butxide.
