    Social Appropriation of Knowledge (ASC) is a comprehensive academic approach that encompasses research, innovation and the training of scientific talent. It also prioritizes experiential learning and the convergence of universitary missional processes of training and research. This publication seeks to serve diverse communities, whether academic or not, to conceive, design and manage science, technology and innovation projects that promote the co-creation of knowledge with transformative power; to enhance instances for dialogue and deliberation arround science; and to mobilize diverse communities in solving the challenges we face as humanity.

    This guide arises from the research “Validation of creative writing strategies to promote narrative imagination in girls, boys and adolescents in processes of Social Appropriation of Knowledge (ASC)” from the student research group Mediation and Pedagogical Practices for ASC. The role of creative writing in generating empathy and building peace is highlighted, within the framework of ASC processes that seek to transform realities and generate social well-being.
